NIAZI WANTS TURKISH TO BECOME AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF THE EU

 Filenews 22 September 2020

It is unacceptable for MEP Niazi Kizilyurek to leave the Turkish language outside the official languages of the European Union.

In a tweet, the ACPL MEP states:

"It is unacceptable that one of the official languages of the Republic of Cyprus, namely Turkish, is left out of the official languages of the EU. This is Linguistic Injustice."

The Cypriot MEP's new intervention took place on the occasion of the European Day of Languages, which is on 26 September.

Since the beginning of his presence in the European Parliament, the Turkish Cypriot MEP has been trying to integrate Turkish as one of the official languages of the European Union, without having achieved it so far. It should also be noted that in every attempt by Niazi Kizilyurek there were strong reactions from various sides.
