Mozart: Symphony no. 40 in G minor, K. 550

Schubert: Symphony no. 5 in B flat major, D. 485

O Mozart, immortal Mozart, how many, oh how endlessly many such comforting perceptions of a brighter and better life hast thou brought to our souls!” With these words, Franz Schubert expresses his great esteem and admiration about the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Such indelible bright impressions we hope that this programme brings you too. To conduct the two classical masterpieces, Mozart’s Symphony no. 40 and Schubert’s Symphony no. 5, we warmly welcome back on stage maestro Alkis Baltas.
