BILLS FROM TALA COUNCIL and settlement dates



Those who receive their water from Tala Council will have received a letter with their latest invoice advising that in the future [from 1/1/19] a penalty will be imposed on bills not paid by the due date shown on any invoice.

Please note that if for any reason the issue of bills is delayed [whether due to printing or delivery] by Tala Council, residents will have a month from date of receipt to settle their accounts.   So, for those who have just received their water bills showing a due date of 24 November, residents are requested please to settle these bills by 24 December.   

Inbuilt into the system, according to the period to which the bill relates, are 'payment due dates'.  However, where for any reason the issue of the bill is delayed this cannot be changed by the staff in the office. 

The penalty is intended to penalise those who regularly either fail to settle or attempt to delay settlement for any reason.

Payment can now be made via JCC Smart for those who wish to pay electronically.
